FOUND DEAD

FORMER PALMERSTON NORTH MAYOR. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr Edward Orr Hurley, an elderly man who lived alone at 99 Rongotai Terrace, Wellington, was found dead in his home on Saturday morning. The discovery was made by a baker whose suspicions were aroused on finding bread which he had delivered on Tuesday morning untouched where he had left it'.

It is understood that Mr Hurley, who was aged about 79, had no relatives in New Zealand. He had lived in Wellington for the past 18 years. For a number of years he was a barrister in Palmerston North and was an exmayor of that city.
