NATIONAL SAVINGS

PROGRESS OF MASTERTON EFFORT. LAST WEEK’S COLLECTION. Seventy-four new National Savings accounts were opened in Masterton last week and the total collection for that period amounted to £595, which was well short of the objective of £784.. Six new groups were formed during the week, these being: Pickering Bros. Ltd., E. K. Eastwood, D. V. Catt, Lyttle and Co. Ltd., R. H. Williams and H. E. Pither. This brings the total number of groups formed in Masterton since the inception of the National Savings Campaign to 64, with a membership of 754. The total number of accounts opened to date is 2090.
