WEST SCHOOL
♦ —- PARENTS AND PUPILS. URGED TO JOIN ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Masterton West Home and School Association was held last night in the Masterton West School. Mr V. Burridge presided over a large attendance. An apology for absence was received from Mr Farrell. It was announced that the association had been strengthened as the result of Mrs Bourke joining the executive. The main business of the meeting was the making of arrangements for a dance and card party to be held on November 29 at the Masterton West School. In this connection it was decided to distribute circulars among supporters and tickets to be sold. The' desirability of parents and pupils becoming members of the association was stressed, the membership fee being one shilling. It was pointed out that the sole aim of the association was the welfare of the children, and it was emphasised that every parent should join the association. At the next meeting, to be held in the school on November 25 at 7.45 p.m., final arrangements will be made for the dance and card party..
