SALVATION ARMY

YOUNG PEOPLE’S ANNIVERSARY. SERVICES IN MASTERTON. The Salvation Army Young People’s anniversary services held in Masterton were presided over by Captain Ojala, of Carterton, and were very successful. Special merit prizes were awarded to Victor Dick, James Davis, Edith Davis, Margaret Clark, Nancy Clark, and Newton Ransom. The singing of the children was under the direction of Major V. Dick pf the Whatman Home, assisted by Miss Joan Ransom, Brigadier and Mrs Perry, Miss Jean Perry and Mr Frank Perry. The young people’s sergeant-major, Mrs Wiley, expressed thanks to all for their co-operation in making the gathering such a success.
