FEDERAL GOVERNMENT'S PLANS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.35 p.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. The Mortgage Eank promised by Mr Chifley (Federal Treasurer) in his budget speech will be administered as a department of the Commonwealth Bank. The Government believes this principle will be acceptable to all interests. Otherwise the Government has made few definite plans for the bank.
