AFTER MANY ESCAPES
MERCHANT CAPTAIN KILLED
TORPEDOED ON EIGHT OCCASIONS. THREE TIMES IN PRESENT WAR. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, November 13. A Merchant Navy skipper, Captain J. D. Muir, has been killed at sea by enemy action. He was torpedoed four times in the last war and was also captain of three ships torpedoed in this war. He was killed in the third torpedoing.
