Miss Amy Clapham, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs S. Clapham, Hinemoa. Mrs C. M. Wright, of Church Street, who has been on a visit to Dunedin and Wellington, has returned home. Miss E. Osborne has returned to Pahiatua from a visit to Wellington where she was the guest of her sister, Mrs Rowden, Mr and Mrs J. McTavish, of Pahiatua, celebrated their diamond wedding on Tuesday. Mr McTavish met his bride on board ship on the way out from Scotland to New Zealand 62 years ago. They were married in Dunedin and later moved to Wellington, and then to Kumeroa, and have been in the Woodville and Pahiatua districts for the last 50 years.
