MASTERTON SALE BIDDING FAIRLY RESTRICTED. PRICES FOR FAT SHEEP EASIER. The Auctioneers' Association held their weekly sale at Masterton yesterday. Apart from an average yarding of fat sheep, an offering of just over 1000 2th and 4th wethers was disposed of. Bidding was fairly restricted. In the fat section, prices showed an easing tendency, more especially for the fat ewes, which depreciated in value to the extent of approximately Is per head. A very good line of fat and forward 4 tooth wethers on account of “Morland" station realised 20s 3d. The following prices will indicate values: Fat sheep: Medium fat wethers, 19s 6d, 19s, 18s Bd, 18s 3d; fat maiden ewes. Ils Id; fat ewes, 10s lOd, 10s (id, 10s 7d; fat woolly ewes, 13s, 14s.
Store sheep: Fat and fwd 4th wethers a/c of Morland station, 20s 3d; 2th wethers, 16s lOd; small 2th wethers. 15s 3d, 14s; mixed sex b.f. 2 tooths, 16s; ewes in lamb, Ils 6d; ewes and lambs, all counted, 16s Id, 12s Id. 9s 9d; store ewes, 7s.
