AGAIN AMONG R.A.F. TARGETS CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONE IN LIBYA. ALL BRITISH PLANES RETURN SAFELY. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.1 a.m.) RUGBY, November 12. A R.A.F. Middle East communique states: “On Monday night bombers raided objectives in Libya. Direct hits were obtained on a large German supply depot at Benghazi and fires broke out. Bombs were dropped among store dumps on the northern landing ground at Gazala. “In a daylight attack on Wednesday South African Air Force Maryland bombers successfully raided workshops and military buildings at the Berka aerodrome. A number of vehicles were destroyed and others damaged in a R.A.F. raid on the JedabyaelAgeila Road. “Naples and Brindisi were again attacked on Monday night. Cloud obscured the effect of the bombing of Naples, but at Brindisi bombs were seen to fall in the vicinity of a floating dock, a seaplane base and industrial buildings at the harbour entrance. Bombs were also dropped at Bianco. Naval aircraft attacked planes at Catania the same night. As the weather was bad the results were not observed. | “All our aircraft returned safely.”
