HEAVY TAXES
URGED BY PRESIDENT ' ROOSEVELT IN ORDER TO AVERT INFLATION. \ LETTER SENT .TO CONGRESS. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) WASHINGTON, November 10. President Roosevelt has sent a letter to Congress urging it to take immediate steps toward absorbing a larger amount of the national income through new taxes. He said he feared that unless new taxes started within two or three months, “even the greater part of the national income may evaporate through inflation.”
