PERSONAL
The Hon. W. Nash, Minister of Finance, who has been visiting Australia, returned to Wellington yesterday. Mr Will Thomas, Timaru, District Governor of Rotary in New Zealand, will pay a visit to Wellington on November 24 and 25.
The Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, Prime Minister, will leave Wellington for Christchurch tomorrow night. He will probably return to Wellington on Sunday morning.
The Leader of the Opposition, Mr S. G. Holland, will pay a brief visit to Masterton tomorrow. He will meet members of the Masterton Electorate Committee.
At a meeting of the Te Ore Ore River Board, held in Masterton yesterday afternoon, it was decided to support the candidature of Mr C. Lassen, Hastings (nominee of the Hawke’s Bay Rivers’ Board) for the position of Rivers’ Board representative on the Flood and Erosion Control Board.
