RUMOUR RIDICULED
WITHDRAWAL OF A.I.F. FROM MIDDLE EAST. SIR T. BLAMEY AMAZED. (By Telegraph—Frees Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 1 p.m.) BRISBANE, November 9. The A.I.F. has always been adequately equipped, except for a slight shortage in Crete, after the Greek campaign, said General Sir T. Blarney, who is returning from the Middle East to consult with the Government. General Blarney said he was amazed at the rumour that he had come at the request of Mr. J. W. Curtin to consider the withdrawal of the A.I.F. from the Middle East.
