AMERICAN MISSIONS

SPEEDING UP SUPPLIES TO MIDDLE EAST. ANOTHER GOING TO RUSSIA IF NECESSARY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 1 p.m.3 LONDON, November 7. Two American missions, instead of one, will be established in the Middle East to speed up supplies to the British forces and Russia, says the United Press Washington correspondent. One mission in Egypt, headed by BrigadierGeneral Robert Maxwell, will work with Genrael Auchinleck, while the other, in Iran, will be led by Briga-dier-General Raymond Wheeler to work with General Wavell. If the Red Army is forced back beyond the Urals a third mission is probable, wherever necessary. Each mission will consist of twenty officers, whose arrival at their posts is believed to be imminent.
