BLEAK OUTLOOK
FOR GERMAN PEOPLE TOLD TO EXPECT HEAVIER SACRIFICES. NO BEER CELLAR SPEECH BY HITLER? LONDON. November 7. A grim warning to the German people to be ready for heavier sacrifices was given today by Goebbels. “We know only too, well tbe heavy sacrifices that are demanded of everyone,” he said, “but are
not the sacrifices of other coun-
tries heavier than ours?” After this admission of the plight of German-occupied countries, Goebbels said that if the chance Germany was offered today was the greatest it was also the last.
The German radio told the German people today that this year flags will not fly to mark the anniversary of the Nazi first, putsch. There is no sign so far that Hitler intends, to make his annual speech in the Munich Beer Cellar next Sunday. It will be recalled that last year the R.A.F. marked the occasion by a big blitz on Munich and that the year before a bomb exploded in the cellar just after Hitler had left.
