SPORTS DAY

GATHERING AT WAIRARAPA COLLEGE LARGE & REPRESENTATIVE ATTENDANCE. DETAILED LIST OF RESULTS. There was a large and representa? tive attendance at the annual athletic sports day held at Wairarapa College. Masterton, yesterday afternoon. The weather was all that could be desired and the grounds were in splendid order. A hardworking band of officials, led by Mr J. W. Bird, ably controlled the gathering and events were run off smoothly and with a minimum of delay.

A high standard was set in all events and a number of records were broken. At the conclusion of the events Mrs W. R. Nicol, wife of the chairman of the College Board of Governors, presented the cups. The meeting was one of the most successful yet held at the College.
