JAPANESE ARRESTED

IN RANGOON & KARACHI BRITISH SUBJECTS DETAINED IN TOKIO. NO REASONS GIVEN IN SPITE OF PROTESTS. LONDON, November 5. It is announced that a Japanese named Matsunaga has been arrested at Rangoon, and another named Tuzuki at Karahi. The reasons for the arrests are not given. Recently the Japanese arrested two British subjects, Martyr and Mason, in Tokio, and the Japanese Government refuses either to release them or to reveal the reason for their arrest, despite urgent protests. The British Ambassador to Japan, Sir Robert Craigie, has now taken up the matter with the new Japanese Government, which has promised to inquire into the whole situation with the least possible delay.
