REMITTANCES TO SOLDIERS OVERSEAS ANOTHER REMINDER GIVEN BY MINISTER. LIMITATION ENFORCED. • ' ■ (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Another reminder is given by the Minister of Defence (Mr Jones) of the desirability of relatives and friends who wish to send money to members of the New Zealand fighting forces’ overseas for Christmas forwarding their bank receipts to the respective departments of the Army, Navy and Air Force not later than Monday, No- . vember 24. If this course is followed it will ensure, as far as it is possible, to do so, the money bqing made available to the men before Christmas. The amount which may be sent in any one year is restricted to £3O, and if that sum has already been sent in the current remittance year it will be useless to apply for permission to send additional funds. There will be no relaxation of this rule, and if additional money is sent in it will be returned to the sender.
