Women peace demonstrators showered eggs and tomatoes on Lord Halifax when he was entering the Chancery buildings to meet Archbishop Mooney. Lord Halifax was hit by seevral eggs before the police broke up the demonstration. His aplomb was unshaken by the barrage. The police said the women apparently were the same “Mothers of America”; who picketed the entrance to a hotel on Monday, carrying anti-Brit-ish placards.
