GRAIN & PRODUCE
CANTERBURY MARKETS. INCREASE IN POTATO PRICES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The grain and produce markets have been very quiet during the past week, with little interest in any section. There is an excellent demand for the very few potatoes that are now left, and prices have risen by £2 since the end of last week. The price is £l3 a ton on trucks, but even this figure has failed to produce more than a thin stream. The price is higher than it has been for years, but the season is virtually over. The small seeds trade is dead, and there has been no alteration in prices.
