The death has occurred of Sir David Gilbert Ferguson, a former puisne judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, and. Acting-Chief Justice, 1929-30. Re retired in 1932. Born at Musswellbrook, New South Wales, in 1861, Sir David Ferguson was occupied for some years as a journalist in Sydney and later on the Queensland and New South Wales Hansard staffs. He was admitted to the Bar in 1890. He was for a time a law lecturer at Sydney University, of which later he became Vice-Chan-cellor. He was chairman of a Royal Commission on Taxation and of the. Returned Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Employment Board.
