DRUIDS’ LODGE
FINAL DANCE OF SEASON. AN ENJOYABLE GATHERING. There was a large attendance at the final dance of the season of the Druids’ Lodge in the Orange Hall on Saturday evening, and a most enjoyable time was spent by all present. Novelty dances were a feature of the gathering. The music was supplied by Messrs J. West and W. Ashworth, extras being played by Mr H. Hood. The Monte Carlo dance was won by Mrs S. Lenz and Mr A. Smith, and the Statue waltz by Miss G. Godden and Mr Colin Reid. During the evening the M.C., Bro. W. R. Pawson, on behalf of the lodge, thanked the ladies’ committee for their splendid work, which had made the dances such a success. Mr Pawson expressed appreciation of the support given the dances by the public, and stated that Christmas parcels were now on the way to lodge members overseas. It was intended to send parcels on each member’s birthday with the balance of funds in hand. Cheers were given for members of the ladies’ committee, the pianist (Mr West) and the M.C.
