MEDICAL SERVICE

POLICY OF WAIRARAPA PRACTITIONERS. At a meeting of the medical practitioners of the Wairarapa held during the weekend, the following resolutions were carried unanimously:— (1) Medical practices will be carried on as before, the usual fees being charged foi' services rendered. (2) The profession will not claim payment directly from the Government. (3) The profession will assist patients to recover what is due to them under the Act. On payment of professional fees, each patient will receive a receipt enabling the patient to recover the refund of 7s 6d a consultation or a visit, 12s 6d a night or Sunday call, and Is 3d a mile, counting mileage both ways, where mileage is allowed.
