LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST DULL WITH SCATTERED RAIN. ANOTHER SOUTHERLY CHANGE LIKELY. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Northwesterly winds, strong at times. Weather dull, with scattered rain, especially in the ranges. Moderate temperatures. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Southerly change possible on Wednesday. LOCAL REPORTS. Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph, 29.97; shade temperature, maximum, 65.7; minimum, 43.5; terrestrial, 33.9; sunshine, 8 hours 54 minutes; rain, 11 points. Miss Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:—Barograph, 29.95; shade temperature, maximum, 63.3; minimum, 44.8; terrestrial, 32.3; sun-j shine, 10 hours 18 minutes; rain, 3 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 12 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday, and 7 points during the similar period ended at 9 a.m. today. PHASES OF THE MOON.
