STRUCK BY MOTOR CAR

WOMAN FATALLY INJURED WHILE WALKING ON FOOTPATH. TRAGEDY AT AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November 2. Struck by a motor-car which mounted a footpath in Eden Terrace on Saturday afternoon, a woman was fatally injured. The victim was Miss Jessie Laura Davidson, aged about 65, Grafton. Miss Davidson was walking along the footpath when the car left the roadway, crashed into a post, and knocked her down. An ambulance was summoned, and she died in the vehicle on her way to Auckland hospital. None of the occupants of the car, which was extensively damaged, was hurt.
