ATTITUDE OF THE STEEL CORPORATION. READY TO'ACCEPT MEDIATION (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) NEW .YORK, October 28. In contrast to the intransigence of Mr John L. Lewis, Mr Irving Olds, chairman of the United States Steel Corporation, announced that his corporation was willing to leave the coal dispute to the final determination of the full National Defence Mediation Board. He said the board’s recommendation accurately stated the corporation’s view, namely that every worker has the right to choose for himself whether he will or will not join the union.
