WATERFRONT FIRE
SCORES OF PEOPLE PERISH AT TSINGTAO THOUSANDS MADE HOMELESS. CAUSE OF OUTBREAK UNKNOWN. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, Noon.) SHANGHAI, October 28. Scores of persons were burned to death and thousands were made homeless when a fire, the cause of which is unknown, swept through the waterfront district of Tsingtao. Six Chinese perished in the fire, which destroyed large stocks of chemicals and celluloid in a warehouse.
