Attlee (British Lord Privy Seal) has arrived to attend the International Labour Office conference. Asked how Britain would react to’ a peace offer in the event of a disaster on the Eastern front, Mr Attlee said: “We shall stand exactly as we stood a year ago, when we stood alone, without Russia as an ally.”
