The Masterton Bowling Club’s Labour Day tournament is being held in fine weather today at the club’s greens in Dixon Street. The greens are in splendid order.

Reid (s), 21-5; Malmo, Davies, Carstens (s) beat Gordon, Dickason, W. Hendry (s), 14-6; G. Smith, Weller, Percy (s) beat Vowell, Holdsworth, Beecroft (s), 10-6; Hearle, W. Russell .Stubbings (s) beat Ayson, E. Hunter, Perry (s), 13-11; Henderson, Playstead, Christian (s) drew with Evans, Downes, Jones (s), 13 all. Second Round.—Chapman (s) beat Reid (s), 24/11; -Hendry (s) beat Beecroft (s), 14/8; Perry (s) beat Christian (s), 14/12; Reid (s) lost to Hunter (s), 11/21; Carstens (s) b eat Percy (s), 19/12; Stubbings (s) beat Jones (s), 20/7. PARK CLUB PROGRESSIVE PAIRS TOURNEY. The progressive pairs tournament which is being held by the Masterton Park Bowling Club today is proving most enjoyable. Visitors are present from Waitara, Palmerston North, Grey Lynn, and Eketahuna. The greens are in excellent order. Results are:

Smith (s) beat Carpenter and Gibbons (s) 16-9; Manson and Hornblow (s) beat Moore and. Kilgour (s) 13-11; Winhall and E. Brown (s) beat P. Smith and Fenton (s) 21-17; Leigh and Simpson (s) beat Billings and Dixon 14-7; Dugdale and Carr (s) beat Andrews and Thompson (s) 15-6; Anstice and Burke (s) beat Green and Monks (s) 13-8.
Second round: Anstice and Thompson beat Manson and Halberg 16-10; Wallis and E. Brown beat Leigh and Smith 14-8; Dugdale and Dixon beat Macpherson and Fenton 16-10; Trevorrow and Carr beat Green and Christie 15-5; Moore and Shearer beat Carpenter and Monks 18-7; Winhall and Hornblow drew with Drummond and Burke 12 all; Billings and Gibbons beat P. Smith and Kilgour 15-13; Andrews and Simpson beat Spackman and Ferguson 11-10. Third round: Leigh and Burke beat Spackman and Gibbons, 18-3; Winhall and Carr drew with Anstice and Simpson. 7-7; Andrews and H.
