Worthy Worker was coupled with Gaynor and Alvis. IMPROVERS’ HANDICAP, Um. Second Division. 1/2 Gallant Maid, scr. (M. Holmes) 1 8/8 Scrounger, scr. (Cook) 2 3/3 Exporter, scr. (McMahon) 3 Scratched: Cardeau. Won by two lengths; half a length. Time, 3.29. Scrounger was bracketed with the winner.
