UNITED SERVICE

“Today as never before prayer is a binding necessity upon men and nations. The lack of emphasis on the religious sense has brought the world to the edge of destruction. Prayer, the basic exercise of the spirit, must be actively practised in our private lives. The neglected soul of man must be made strong enough to assert itself once more.” In recognition of the urgent truth expressed in these warning words of Alexis Carrol,’ the Associated Ministers of Greytown ask the citizens to participate in the united prayer service to be held in the Town Hall on Sunday. The address to be given by the Rev. H. Bloomfield will be entitled “The Tower and the Cross.” Hymn books will be provided for the singing of well-known hymns. All the offering above expenses will be donated to the local St. John Ambulance.
