PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
SUPPORT MOST GRATIFYING PLENTY OF ENTERTAINING FEATURES. SOME OUTSIDE EXHIBITORS. In a message to the public of the Wairarapa regarding next week’s show, the president of the Wairarapa and East Coast P. and A. Society, Mr J. A. McLeod, states: “Arrangements are now well advanced for the Wairarapa and East Coast P. and A. Society’s annual show at Carterton on October 29 and 30. Entries have now closed and the number received is very satisfactory indeed. Live stock entries are similar in numbers to those of last year and the quality of the stock promises to be of the usual high standard exhibited at this fixture. Entries in all other classes are also well up to usual in numbers and exhibitors of the Wairarapa generally have come forward in a splendid manner in support of their show. Some exhibits from outside districts will be present and this, in view of the difficulties of travelling and of labour, is very gratifying indeed. “Space for side-shows and amusements has been, well taken up and there promises to be plenty of entertainment for patrons of this section of the show. An energetic committee has for some time been completing the arrangements and everything has been done to ensure the comfort of exhibitors and the public. All that is now required is for the, weather to be kind and I fell sure that visitors to the Carterton Show will have an excellent day’s outing.”
