MELBOURNE CUP. " PLANS FOR BEAU VITE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, October 21. Whether Beau Vite will run in the Melbourne Cup will be decided after Saturday’s Cox Plate. His owner, Mr Stewart, stated that there is now a chance that the horse may be reserved for weight-for-age races as his Caulfield Cup effort suggests that he has a terrific task, with his big weight in the Melbourne Cup. Despite these statements, the general opinion is that the horse will, run in the Cup. Beau Vite galloped brilliantly at Caulfield on the steeplechase grass today. He did five furlongs in 1.1, the first two taking 241 and the last two 24.
