Y.M.C.A. Work.
At the Y.M.C.A. rooms last night a great deal of energy was shown by the attendance of over 100 of the youth associated with the gymnasium when a dress rehearsal of the items to be presented at the display next Tuesday was carried out under the supervision of Messrs Tatton Bros. Billiards and Snooker. A team of Carterton billiard players led by Mr Carl Larsen visited the Wairarapa Soldiers’ Club last night to take part in a billiards and snooker contest with a Masterton team for the Vincent Cup. Each team consisted of eight men, four of whom played billiards and the other four snooker. The visitors won by ten games to six.
