OBITUARY
MR ROBERT RANDOLPH BURLING. The death occurred yesterday of Mr Robert Randolph Burling, of 34 Essex Street, Masterton. The late Mr Burling', who was born at Tinui in 1872, was the third son of the late Mr and Mrs Henry Burling. He was brought up at Brooklands, Tiraumea, and entered farming with his late brother, Mr W. A. Burling, at Woodlands, Pongaroa, over 50 years ago. He was a noted Aberdeen Angus breeder and was a life member of the Masterton A. and P. Association. In 1904 he married a daughter of the late Mr ano. Mrs John McLeod, Ngaturi, who died in 1908. In 1917, he married a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Rhoderick McKenzie, of Fernridge. He is survived by a widow, two sons, Messrs John Burling (Taumarunui) and Ronald Burling (Masterton), and by four daughters, Mrs F. D. Shaw and Misses Audrey, Rhoda and Jocelyn Burling, all of Masterton. The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving the late residence, 34 Essex Street, following a service at 2 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery.
