Members of the Australian Imperial Force who have returned to, Sydney as guards for German and Italian P r js _ oners of war, said that most of the Australians who defended Tobruk in the early stages of the siege had been relieved. Any attack made on Tobruk would be met by fresh troops. Australian troops in the Middle East were fighting fit and anxious for action. > They were being given excellent equipment.
