“FLIGHT ANGELS.” Hero and heroine of “Flight Angels” which will be shown tonight, are Dennis Morgan and Virginia Bruce. Both give competent performances, the one as a leading commercial pilot who is grounded, and the other as an air hostess. Because of his reputation as a “lady killer,” Virginia refuses to take Morgan’s love seriously, but when his eyesight is found to be weak in a periodical check-up, and he is grounded, she marries him to bolster up his courage. For a time he settles down, teaching hostesses _ the rudiments of flying, but their stupidity gets on his nerves, and he resigns. Disconsolate because he is not chosen to test a new plane on which he and a friend have been working, Morgan steals it from the hangar and takes off. He completes the tests successfully,' but before landing his eyes play him false, and he smashes into telegraph wires. . The second feature, “Caught in the Act,” is an unusual light gangster film. The plot centres round the building Bhd protection racket in which Henry Armetta unwittingly involves himself and his family.
