OPPOSITION LEADER
TO VISIT BRITAIN WILL BE ABSENT THREE MONTHS UNANIMOUS DECISION OF PARLIAMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. By a unanimous vote of the Parliamentary members of the National Party, Mr Holland, Leader of the Opposition, was selected yesterday to represent the Opposition on a visit to Great Britain. The invitation by the United Kingdom branch of the Empire Parliamentary Association was accepted some weeks ago. The Government member has yet to be selected. While Mi' Holland is absent from the Dominion, Mr Forbes will act as deputy-leader of the Opposition. Mr Holland will leave New Zealand before the end of the year and will be away for about three months. All the expenses of the visit of Mr Holland, also of a prominent member of the Labour Party, will be defrayed by the Empire Parliamentary Association.
