SHELL PRODUCTION
EXPEDITED ENORMOUSLY.
BY NEWLY-INVENTED MACHINE., (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 1.10 p.m.) LONDON, October 13. A newly-invented machine is now turning out shells in as many minutes as it took hours in the last war. This was disclosed by Mr A. Woodburn, Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary for Scotland. He said a Scottish engineer had invented a machine which was forging shells at a rate previously unknown.
