RANDWICK MEETING PLATE WON BY DASHING CAVALIER. A WIN FOR KATANGA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, October 12. Tlie final day’s racing at Randwick, which was again favoured with very fine weather, was devoid of any sensations, most interest having transferred to Flemington. Nevertheless this A.J.C. meeting has been one of the most successful on record. Dashing Cavalier reproduced his earlier form in winning the Randwick Plate, which, as expected, was in the nature of a gift to him and all that remains is whether he will take part in the Melbourne Cup, in which case he would be regarded as a dangerous customer. The popular belief is he will be reserved for weight-for-age races in Sydney. Results: — Canonbury Stakes, 5f.: Baroda,. 8.5 (Thompson), 1; Yarrawonga, 8.5 (Davis), 2; Brinawa, 8.5 (Munro), 3.
