ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

DANCE ON SATURDAY NIGHT. COMPETITION WINNERS. The dance held by the St. John Ambulance Brigade in the Masonic Hall, Masterton, on Saturday night, was fairly well attended. Under the supervision of the brigade’s efficient Cadet Superintendent, Mr C. S. McQuade, proceedings went merrily to music supplied by Jack Barnes’s full orchestra. Mr C. Jackson played an extra on the piano accordion. A Monte Carlo waltz competition was won by Miss N. Waipuka and Mr J. H. Boardman. A competition was won by Miss M. G. Dean (ticket number 237) who generously donated the value, of the prize back to the division’s fund for sending Christmas parcels to members of the brigade serving overseas. Mr McQuade thanked patrons for their attendance and announced that the final dance of this series would be held on Saturday, November 8. Supper was served by the committee.
