ROTARY CLUB
WEEKLY LUNCHEON MEETING. The weekly luncheon meeting of the Masterton Rotary Club was held at the Y.M.C.A. today. There was a good attendance and the vice-president, Mr J. H. Cunningham, presided in the unavoidable absence of the president, Mr Norman Lee. The Rev. H. Taepa and Mr J. McGregor were guests of the club. The speaker for the day was Mr R. W. Pomare. of the Department of Health, Wellington, who gave a highly informative address on “The Transition of the Maori Race.” Oil the motion of the Ven. Archdeacon E. J. Rich, a hearty vote of thanks was passed to the speaker for his able address.
