DIONNE QUINTS

ENROLLED AS BROWNIES. CALLANDER, Ontario. The Dionne Quintuplets passed another milestone recently when they were enrolled as Brownies of the Girl Guides. Wearing their uniforms and the regulation knitted toques, the Quints were questioned as to their knowledge by the divisional commissioner of the Girl Guides. A sister of the Quints also became a member of the organisation at the same time. The toques which Brownies wear are usually made by the young candidates for entrance, but the Quints received theirs as birthday presents from the Brownies. The girls recited the Brownie pledge without hesitation, and then received pins from the divisional commissioner. More than 300 Guides and Brownies from surrounding districts filled the horseshoe-shaped playground of the Quints for the ceremony.
