GOLD MINING
COMPANY RETURNS. For the week ended October 1, the Grey River dredge obtained 221 ounces from 68,200 cubic yards in 99 hours. September totals were: 962 ounces from 351,250 cubic yards in 477 hours. Kildare Consolidated completed a wash-up at No. 2 claim for a return of 26 ounces in 12j weeks. The Okarito dredge returned 430 z. for 122 hours.
The Gillespies Beach return totalled 18oz. for 133 hours from 15,700 yards.
