A DINNER DISH

COLD MEAT AU GRATIN. Cut slices of left-over meat and place them in the bottom of a greased fireproof dish. Cover with minced onion, a little chopped parsley, 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs, pepper and salt to taste. On top of this, add a layer of skinned tomatoes cut into rather thick slices. Continue to do this until there are three layers, sprinkle top with breadcrumbs mixed with a little grated cheese. Dot with butter and bake in a moderate oven until brown and cooked through.
