WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
MT. BRUCE MEETING COMPETITION WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Mt Bruce Women’s Institute held its monthly meeting at Mrs H. West’s residence. Miss M. Reader gave 3 very interesting demonstration on the bandaging of various parts of the body. A number of bags for soldiers’ kits were handed in to the president and are to be given to the Patriotic Society. The competitions resulted as follows: Wheatmeal biscuits, Mrs C. Wyeth 1, Miss M. Reader 2, Miss M. Campbell 3. Blooms: Miss I. Reader (hyacinth) 1; Mrs C. Campbell (polyanthus) 2. Votes of thanks to the demonstrator and the hostess brought an enjoyable gathering to a close.
