REGENT THEATRE
“ANDY HARDY'S PRIVATE SECRETARY.” The current programme headed by “Andy Hardy’s Private Secretary,” will be finally shown tonight. This brilliant picture has drawn crowded houses and has been voted the most outstanding performance yet given by Mickey Rooney. “DULCY.” The change of programme tomorrow night is headed by one of the most attractive pictures ever brought to the screen. It abounds with situations which will at once appeal to patrons because of the high standard of the acting and the excellence of the photography. Much greater boomed pictures have not the brilliance or the attractiveness of “Dulcy,” which has something different about it to the majority of the pictures. It has a story that is most interesting and the various situations provide opportunities for acting of that high type which patrons expect when Ann Sothern, Roland Young, Billie Burke and lan Hunter have the leading roles. These artists, however, do not steal all the limelight as there are several other performers who demonstrate their undoubted ability. Regent Theatre patrons are assured of entertainment tomorrow night that should suit their particular taste, as “Dulcy” provides one of the greatest screen laughs in years. There is a particularly good supporting programme, including Air Mail News, a Pete Smith, special, and an “Our Gang Comedy.”
