NATIONAL SAVINGS

MORE ACCOUNTS WANTED IN MASTERTON 1891 ACCOUNTS ALREADY OPENED. APPEAL FOR NEW INVESTORS. Since the institution of the National Savings campaign 1891 National Savings investment accounts have been opened at the Masterton Post Office up to the end of September. Included in this number are 655 investors who are members of group accounts and are contributing regularly each week. Fifty-six group accounts are now in operation at Masterton and others are in the stage of formation. The latest group accounts set up are those opened by the employees at the following places of employment: Masterton Corporation Gas Department, J. Bouzaid and N. R. Cunningham Ltd. The number of new accounts opened during September indicates a sharp fall in the increase of new investors compared with the figures of previous months. As there is considerable room for improvement i;»the number of accounts opened at Masterton an appeal is made to everyone who has not yet enrolled to do so immediately. National Savings are only part of the whole scheme of war finance and have been provided to afford small investors particularly, a means of helping with their savings. Small amounts saved regularly by everyone can play an important part. Every shilling saved is a Victory on the Home Front.
