SPRING BLOOMS
ANNUAL SHOW WOMEN’S DIVISION OF FARMERS’ UNION. EXCELLENT DISPLAY AT CARTERTON. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual flower show in connection with the Carterton Branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the Masonic Hall, Carterton, yesterday, and was a pronounced success. The season has been a favourable one for flowers, and consequently some very fine blooms were on exhibition. The judge, Mrs E. M. Pink, in many classes had difficulty in making her awards. The monthly competitions were judged by Mrs E. H. Hawker. Mr G. Couper, the secretary, had the arrangements complete in every detail. The show was a credit to those responsible. The following were the prizewinners:— Points prize.—Mrs G. Couper, 48 points, 1; Mrs E. Allan. 42 points, 2. Points prize for those who have not won a prize before. —Mrs W.
