JAPANESE SUBMARINE
SUNK IN COLLISION. SOME MEMBERS OF CREW SXVED. - (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.50 a.m.) TOKIO, October 3. The submarine No. 161 sank as a result of a collision with a surface craft, during manoeuvres off Kyushu. The Navy Department has announced that some members of the crew have been saved and that rescue efforts are still proceeding.
