Mrs P. M. Beech, of Mangahao, is visiting Wanganui. Mrs V. E. Donald, Lansdowne, has returned home from a visit to Waipukurau.
Mrs G. Callender, Palmerston North, has been the guest of Mrs W. G. Callender, Makomako. Miss F. Angrove has been elected secretary and treasurer of the Makomako Lawn Tennis Club.
Mr and Mrs James Bull, wellknown and highly respected residents of Hunterville, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last week. They were married by the Rev. J. Paterson, in St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Wellington. The best man was Mr T. Watt (Marton), and the three bridesmaids were the sisters of the bride. Mrs Bull was formerly Miss Esther McKelvie, second daughter of the late Mr John McKelvie. Mr Bull is a son - of the late Mr J. Bull, of Bulls.
